The Making of the Transport Jacket
Drawing on the enduring character of Barbour’s iconic 1980s styles - the Bedale, Beaufort and International - the Transport distilled their functional details into a shorter, A-line silhouette suited to life in motion. Raglan sleeves allowed ease of movement; welt pockets and a hidden zipped pocket offered quiet utility; a distinctive inner waist storm skirt and storm cuffs provided protection from the elements.
More than just a jacket, the Transport marked the beginning of a new chapter for Barbour - one that helped catalyse our evolution from manufacturer to global brand.
