The Original & Authentic Barbour Tartans
Kinship is not usually something you can see. It’s felt between family , tied into our identity. Our tartans tell the story of that bond, a symbol of our Scottish roots and the inherent values that have driven us to where we are today.
This season, we celebrate those connections behind our original and authentic Barbour tartans, returning to the rugged Scottish landscape with people bonded by their own sense of kinship.

Original Tartans. 130 Years in the Making.
Highland Loch Tartan
Designed for the start of the season as we move on from winter, the Highland Loch Tartan combines rich greens and blues reminiscent of deep Lochs and their surrounding forests on one of those first hopeful spring mornings.
Dress Navy Tartan
A softer, more feminine take on our original Dress Tartan, we’ve introduced a calmer, sandy palette ton suit the summer season while still honouring our Scottish Heritage.
Origins of the Tartan Sett
Deeply tied to the Barbour family legacy, our tartan was crafted to embody the essence of our countrywear tradition.
More than just a pattern of checks, our exclusive tartans tell a story of heritage and connection. They stand as a mark of authenticity and a proud symbol of the generations that have shaped our family business.
