Barbour Repair & Re-wax

We offer a range of very special services that allows our customers to return their beloved Barbour jacket* at any time to be re-waxed, repaired or altered.
We recommend that you re-wax your jacket annually depending on wear and select Re-wax jacket on the selector.
Use Re-wax small - accessory for accessories which include waxed cotton hoods, belts and dog coats.
Spray and Wax is only necessary for jackets that are overly dry, have been washed/dry cleaned, or lightweight wax
If you’re local to a Barbour store or participating partner, stop by and we will send in your jacket to our repair facilities for an evaluation where the repair team will contact you about your jacket.
On receipt of your jacket our inspection team will confirm if the re-wax, reproof or alteration request can be processed.
Please Note: Should there be any blood, mold/mildew, or “infestation” found on the material of the item returned for service, we are required by our Health & Safety Advisor to return the garment with no work completed. We are instructed to avoid any possible health hazard for our staff and not to handle any garments marked with such. Arrangements will be made for the item to be returned to you with no repair or reproofing done.

Further information
In most cases, we can successfully repair and re-wax a wax garment, however, some items are simply beyond repair because they are too damaged or are outside of our allocated time to provide and complete a repair. If this applies to your wax garment our customer service team will contact you and return your garment. Re-waxing may initially change the appearance of your jacket giving it a darker colour and sheen finish. With wear, the appearance of your garment will change.
If you are unsure what work needs to be done on your jacket, or would like a full assessment, please send your garment to our aftercare facility with a note enclosed stating that you require a full assessment. Please also include your name, daytime phone number, return address, and email address. Once inspected, a customer service representative will contact you with a quote. At that time, a decision can be made about the desired repairs, if any. Once full payment is received, we will begin work on your jacket.
