CORPORATE SOCIAL

RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT

Barbour is committed to the welfare, health and safety of all of our employees and suppliers and to delivering socially and environmentally responsible products to our customers. We use our skills and processes from our manufacturing background and expertise to ensure that all our factories across the globe use the same specifications (eg design, garment engineering and fit, fabrics, trims and zips) to maintain the quality and craftsmanship of our garments wherever they are made.

We will always conduct our business with integrity and respect to human rights and we will continue to build and grow an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates diversity. Through our commitment to ethical sourcing, we ensure safe and fair working conditions for everyone throughout our supply chain. We will always comply with relevant current legislation and industry benchmarks to ensure that labour standards and human rights in the workplace are met. Barbour has long term relationships with suppliers worldwide who share our values and ethics. A list of our garment, footwear and accessories (Tier One) factories can be downloaded here.

Barbour believes that this is an important step in driving greater transparency within the fashion industry in order to support safe and fair working conditions for all workers in textile factories worldwide.

Minimising our impact on the environment is at the heart of everything we do and through our Wax for Life programme we promote and educate our customers on the sustainable benefits of waxed cotton. It is Barbour’s aim to continuously review and improve the company’s environmental performance to prevent and minimise, wherever practicable our environmental impact.
