Introducing our Limited Edition Jackets

Limited Edition Jackets
autumn winter 2017
With a rich heritage of over 120 years, Barbour knows a thing or two about designing classic clothing.  Quality, attention to detail, durability and fitness for purpose have been the company’s founding principles and they remain just as true today as they were in 1894 when John Barbour set up his first shop in South Shields in the North East of England.

This autumn, we are celebrating the very best of Barbour with two special ‘Limited Edition’ jackets inspired by the Bedale, one of Barbour’s most iconic jackets. Named after a rural market town in Yorkshire, the Bedale jacket was introduced into the range in 1980.

It was originally designed by Dame Margaret Barbour, as an equestrian jacket. The shorter length was ideal when riding.  The rear vents in the jacket made it easy to wear in the saddle and the inner ‘drip strip’ prevented any sweat or wetness from the horse, seeping into the jacket.

Now a classic, the practicality and simple style of the Bedale remains popular with all ages and has inspired our Limited Edition jackets range. The men’s Ashby and the women’s Beadnell, each with signature Dress Gordon tartan linings are unique to each.

Sold exclusively through our Barbour retail stores from October 12th, these Limited Edition jackets are very collectable. They make the perfect gift or why not treat yourself to something very special.

We’re also giving you a chance to win a jacket. Simply enter our Ltd Edition competition here to be in with a chance of winning!
