We headed to our Barbour Partner Store in Shrewsbury, to discover more about Pepper's role in the store, and what she enjoys doing in her spare time...
Introduce yourself and tell us what breed you are?
Hi, I’m Pepper and I’m a 2 year old black Labrador and Border Collie cross from Ellesmere in Shropshire.
Tell us about your store?
Our store is part of the Outdoor and Country family and we are a Barbour Partner store, which stock the biggest range of Barbour in Shropshire. We are located on the beautiful and historic Square in Shrewsbury town centre, where we offer a wide range of Barbour clothing for all the family including the dog.
What makes your store unique?
We are located in a gorgeous part of Shropshire, right in the heart of Shrewsbury amongst historic buildings, which is loved by our customers. We have a very close-knit and loyal team, who really offer an extremely professional and friendly service.

What is your role at the store and what does that involve? I would like to think as myself as the boss, but I love the interaction with our customers as we are a very dog friendly town.
I keep the team on their toes, and put a smile on the faces of every customer that comes through our door.
Who is your human and what is their role at the store? My human is Luke, who is the store manager. He loves his job and feels very lucky to be part of the Outdoor and Country and Barbour family.
He looks after everything so it gives me and the team time to focus on our customers.

What is your favourite part of the store and why?
The store is a new addition to the town so it is very beautiful, light and welcoming but if I had to pick, it has to be our gorgeous till point. It’s located at the front of the store and a real centre piece of the store. It’s also where I get to soak up the most attention.
In your down time from helping at the store, what do you most like doing?
Me and Luke love to go exploring and we are very lucky to have the Shropshire countryside on our doorstep. You can often find us walking the canals and relaxing in a country pub.
