Barbour for Margaret Howell Collection: AW18
autumn winter 2018
We’re excited to announce our autumn winter 18 capsule collection of jackets designed by renowned British designer, Margaret Howell, in conjunction with our menswear design team. With a reputation as a hands on designer, Margaret Howell represents classicism, quality and understated style in all of her collections. She designs for a modern silhouette with a simplicity in cut and shape that creates a relaxed and natural look.
The collection features three wax pieces all inspired by Barbour’s archive which dates back to 1910. Distinctive and contemporary, they are sure to demand attention.
The Barbour for Margaret Howell Spey Wax Jacket, inspired by a Barbour fishing jacket from the archives, is distinctive and contemporary in style and cropped in length with an oversized cut – perfect for making a statement this season.
The Barbour for Margaret Howell Wax Poncho takes it is inspiration from smock styles within the Barbour archive from the late 1950s. An oversized poncho style, it has a distinctive corduroy collar and front zip detail making it ideal for layering.
The final piece in our capsule collection is the Barbour for Margaret Howell Ursula Wax Jacket, which takes inspiration from the military - specifically the Ursula jacket customised by Captain Philips, commander of HMS Ursula submarine, which became standard issue for all submariners during the Second World War. Belted in a longer length with patch pockets, it’s available in black and archive olive for autumn winter.
