The Making of the Bedale Jacket
Designed by Dame Margaret Barbour with the cadence of equestrian life in mind, the Bedale was engineered for movement, resilience, and purpose. Its shorter cut was carefully considered for the saddle, allowing unrestricted comfort while riding, while the thornproof waxed cotton stood firm against hedgerows and shifting weather. Double rear vents were built in to flex naturally with horse and rider, ensuring ease without compromise. Every detail reflects a balance of practicality and craft - a jacket shaped not just by design, but by the demands of the countryside it was made to serve.
