Episode 18: Uncle Harry
More than thirty years ago, outside Balavil House in the Scottish Highlands, a photograph was taken. In it, the Macpherson-Fletcher family stood together – united not just by name, but by the presence of Uncle Harry’s Barbour jacket. Worn, well-loved and steeped in stories, it would become the oldest jacket in our archive, dating back to 1910.
Now, the family has returned to the very same spot. The house has changed, the landscape too – but the people remain. Older, wiser, and ready to share memories that have never been told. At the heart of it all is Uncle Harry himself: the man who left the land, yet left his mark in ways that still endure.
Set across the acres they still call their own, this is a portrait of place, memory and connection. Generations side by side and the quiet joy of standing again where it all began.
