Styled in our latest SS17 Weather Comfort collection, Sculptor and Photographer, Robert McGuinness took us on a day trip to his beloved Peak District. Find out exactly what he recommends below…
Kinder Scout
This is the highest point in the peak district and it is also the tallest waterfall towering at thirty metres high! Navigate your way around this astonishing peak, it provides a challenging walk, so be sure to prepare for winding walks and expansive moorland.
Mam Tor
With speculator views Mam Tor is a must see on your trip to the Peak District! With jaw dropping landscape all round, you may even get the chance to see as far as Manchester on a clear day. Being 517 metres high and located near Castleton in the High Peak area of Derbyshire, Mam Tor is close to many caverns to explore such as Treak Cliff Cavern, Blue John Cavern, Speedwell Cavern and Peak Cavern.
Brimming with natural beauty, this elegant location is a sight to behold. Spanning along the river Dove, with its charming flowers and important wildlife, it encapsulates the idyllic nature of the Peak District. Start your walk at the River Dove and be sure to make your way down through Dovedale to the stepping stones, from here you can adventure on the many paths and you’ll find yourself either on the riverside or surrounded by the stunning countryside.
Robert prepared for the ever changing British weather during his trip to the Peak District, wearing our Barbour Nimbus Waterproof Bomber Jacket.
