We have been following Jacey’s adventures and style evolution since she started her blog ‘Damsel In Dior’ in 2011. Born in South Texas, she has since travelled all over the world and now calls LA home.

A fan of Barbour, the adventurous fashion blogger is the perfect fit for our Women's Heritage Collection, a range of classic and timeless items that will never go out of style.

Your social channels and blog do a great job of showcasing your personal style.
When did you first get into blogging and being a social influencer, and how has your style evolved since then?
I started my blog while working as an Executive Assistant at E! News after several colleagues were asking about my outfits and where I shopped. It started out as a creative outlet with only collages and links to items I was wearing and purchasing. Eventually it took over as my full time job and since then, my style has evolved greatly.

I take more risks now, however I also listen to my inner voice when it comes to what I am wearing. Travel has also played an influence on my personal style. When I’m in Los Angeles I tend to dress very casual, which is why I love travelling to places where I can kick things up a notch, such as Paris and New York.

Tell us about your first Barbour experience.
The first time I put on a Barbour jacket was while staying at the Four Seasons Hampshire during a weekend getaway from London Fashion Week. I’d always known the brand, however never actually worn any Barbour pieces. The hotel had Barbour jackets to wear while skeet shooting or horseback riding, or just around the property for those people {such as myself} that did not pack appropriately. I loved it so much I wore it during my entire stay. We made it back to London and I immediately went to a Barbour store and purchased my very own.

How did moving out to the West Coast affect your personal style?
Growing up in South Texas on a cotton farm, my personal style has always been a bit more practical and relaxed, however moving to Los Angeles pushed me more in a direction of street casual. People in Los Angeles are known for casual attire, but what I didn’t realize was there’s an entire culture around it. It’s not just people rolling out of bed tossing on sneakers and a t-shirt. It’s people scouring the internet for the coolest sneakers and hottest $400 t-shirt.

How would you describe your personal style?
Comfortable yet classic. Girlie with edge.

What’s your favorite piece from this Barbour Women’s Heritage Collection? Why? How would you style it for West Coast life?
I love the Ebbertson Quilted Jacket because it’s the perfect weight for chilly autum nights on the West Coast. I’m planning to style it with jeans, hiking boots and cozy knits. I’m also planning on wearing it over my gold slip dress for a nice juxtaposition.

What drew you to our Women’s Heritage Collection?
I am really drawn to classic pieces that are going to make a home in my closet. The Women’s Heritage Collection includes key wardrobe items that I’ll never get rid of because they’ll never go out of style.

What could we find in the pocket of your Barbour jacket?
Carmex and my iPhone.

Are there any adventures that have particularly influenced your work?
I posted about my adventures in Thailand which ended up being featured, giving my blog thousands of new readers daily. I have this feature to thank for my readership. I am also always influenced by Kenya, where I plan on going back this October. It truly puts life into perspective when you see the way other people live.

Where are your favorite places to travel in the fall?
This fall I’m going to Aspen which is always a favorite. I love visiting during this off-peak time of year to enjoy hiking, bike riding and the beautiful Aspen trees changing color.

What does the future look like for Damsel in Dior?
Hopefully it looks exactly like it looks today because I feel so lucky to wake up doing what I love every day.
