Barbour By ALEXACHUNG

Once again, the Barbour By ALEXACHUNG collection allows us to explore classic Barbour styles through a new lens, taking us on a nostalgic journey through fields and across coastlines. 

Our seventh collection with the ALEXACHUNG brand was inspired by the iconic Barbour archive of jackets, where new tartans and teddy faux fur meet wax and quilts for a contemporary take on ultimate British style. Read on for our AW22 style guide and to learn more about each special jacket.

A personal favourite of Alexa’s is the Blair Wax – a short-style jacket with all the classic Barbour elements including a corduroy collar, button-down pockets and tartan lining.

Styled with a button-down shirt and a pair of trusty Barbour Wellingtons, this jacket is a wardrobe staple, perfect for a walk along the shoreline. 

The Blair Quilt is a continuation of the collaboration’s love affair with onion stitch quilting. This unique pattern forms the shape of an onion that has been cut in half down the middle. Available in faded yellow, mist and navy, this jacket is right at home by the sea or in the country.  

This quilt is also lined with a new tartan designed by Alexa, exclusively for the AW22 collection. With classic corduroy details to finish it off, the Blair Quilt will keep you warm and stylish as the weather gets chillier.   

Equally, at home in the sixties mod as a day by the coast is the Nevis Quilt; a heavy quilted jacket with a mountaineering aesthetic that conjures up images of explorers from days gone by. 

The design also features beautiful onion stitch quilting, a pullover hood, and extra-large pockets for holding all your essentials. Style with a long skirt or dress, knitted pullover and beach-ready boots. 

The Elizabeth Wax draws inspiration from early riding coats found in the Barbour archive. This long-line wax jacket has a distinctive removable cape to provide additional protection from poor weather.  

Bringing back the PVC from Barbour By ALEXACHUNG a few seasons past, the Eugenie Casual is a new black PVC jacket with heritage check lining, a waist tie and a contrasting fleece collar and cuffs.  

This stand-out piece can be styled up or down, while the fleece gives it an autumn-winter feel so that you can stay warm from the sea breeze, or a gusty day in the city.  

The Fife Casual draws inspiration from Uncle Harry’s Jacket, the oldest design from 1910 in the Barbour archive. The double-breasted casual style is easy-to-wear and effortlessly stylish. Throw over your jeans for a casual look or elevate your style and pair with a midi skirt and black lace-ups.  

The Ghillie Wax has a large hood with drawstring pull, and is finished with a fleece lining ideal for chilly weather. Available in both olive and tan, the design is peppered with plenty of pockets. 

Finally, is the Ghillie Wax Sport Hat features a tartan necktie to keep your hat in place on even the most blustery of days.
