The Barbour Dogs Diaries: Meet Hazel

As part of our monthly Barbour Dogs Diaries series, we are bringing you a monthly-dose of our favourite Barbour Dogs. These furry friends are striking a pose, sporting their Barbour Dogs best wear from head to tail and sharing a glimpse into the wagnificent life of a Barbour Dog.

Say hello to our October pooch @waseintoller, Hazel is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever aged 1. Although Hazel is a city pooch by heart, she loves to explore natures great outdoors, bounding across beaches and even paddle boarding! We think Hazel is adorable and we most definitely approve of her Barbour Dogs pupfits! You can find @waseintoller on Instagram to see what else she gets up too!

Q: Where is your favourite place to go and play?

My favourite place to explore and play is Stadtpark in Hamburg. It has a forest area, as well as streams and open greenery that goes on for acres and acres, perfect for all my escapades.  There is also a designated doggie area to meet other new furry friends, I always drag my pawrents over here! Stadtpark has been my go-to play spot since I was a pup.

Q: Do you prefer the beach or the countryside and why?

Well I do enjoy both, but if I had to pick one it would have to be the beach. Sandy paws and a sea breeze through my fur, what could be better! I also love to hop onto my pawrents paddle board and cruise through the water like the cool pooch I am.  I do visit the countryside quite often since my hooman grandparents live there and it’s the perfect escape from my hectic city life.

Q: What is your favourite thing about Barbour Dogs products?

The best thing about Barbour Dogs products would have to be their classic tartan pattern and other beautiful colours, they complement my orange and white fur perfectly if I do say so myself. I consider myself a super stylish pooch when flaunting my Barbour Dogs gear, arguably the best dressed pup at the park! Plus the quality of their products are paws-itively amazing!

Q: Which Barbour item is your favourite and why?

It would have to be the first item I ever purchases from Barbour, my Tartan Step in Harness. My Barbour Dogs harness was my companion on all my adventures, big and small. I can always guarantee my harness will be comfortable and easy for my pawrents to slide me into, and just like that I am ready to rumble. And of course, the distinctive tartan pattern makes me feel extra handsome.

Q: Talk us through your daily routine…

I usually arise at around 7am and after a short cuddle session my pawrents always struggle to convince me to roll out of bed and head out on our first walk of the day, I can be a bit of a lazy pooch. Brekkie is served at around 8am, after that I head back to bed with a full stomach for some extra Zzz’s. Around noon (unless it's sweltering summer), we have a longer walk in the Stadtpark, where I meet up with my fur-pals, play fetch, explore the woods, and sometimes even take a dip in the water. Now and again I get to indulge in a scrumptious puppucino, I just love the creaminess! Dinner is served and bedtime arrives around 9pm, after all a pooch like me doesn’t look this cute without her beauty sleep!
