Lucy describes the collection, “I really wanted to curate the kind of easy, throw-on pieces that can be mixed and matched in so many ways. Easy, elevated suitcase staples that don’t require an iron to look chic! I love pieces like the oversized linen shirts that can be thrown on over a bathing suit or with shorts on a hot day, but equally work under a big sweater with jeans for chilly evenings. The gingham puffa feels like such a versatile piece I’d wear in London as much as I would in the country while the hooded parka is cool and practical all at once; exactly what you need when dressing for British summertime.”

We invited Lucy Williams up to our home in South Shields. Here, she delved into our archives, working with our skilled designers and machinists to create a small selection of one-of-a-kind, Re-loved jackets that reflect her city-to-country style and fond memories of Barbour.

On the exclusive Re-loved pieces: “I loved the idea of breathing new life into pre-loved jackets with surplus textiles from Barbour’s archive. It was such a privilege being able to raid Barbour’s archive and create my dream one-off pieces. I wanted to create pieces that really lean into the idea of heritage, something people will keep forever, while still being pieces you’re excited to wear now. Earthy, textured fabrics like the thistle tartan and brown cord have that eternally cool 70s feel to them, while the pops of red feel really current.” –Lucy Williams
