    The Details

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Beaufort® was originally designed in 1983 as a sporting jacket. The style and design were inspired by Chairman Dame Margaret Barbour's visits to France where sporting jackets tended to have more features and style than was usually the case in the UK at that time. The name, Beaufort® was chosen to highlight the continental character of the piece.

"The Beaufort is a style icon, my Dad wore it in the 80s, I then first wore it in the 00s. It culturally resonated very differently for each of us despite being the same garment. Timeless and democratic, a thing of beauty and self-expression."
