The Barbour Dogs Diaries: Meet Roo the Scottie

As part of our new, monthly Barbour Dogs Diary series, we are sharing monthly pup-dates on what our beloved Barbour Dogs are loving right now, all about their favourite toys and how they are living their best Barbour Dogs life! 

This Barbour Dogs Diary will follow a new dog each month, with a chance to get to know them more by following along and reading their blogs, or checking out their Instagram, as they share super cute clips of them living it up, chilling out in the sun and wearing their Barbour Dogs best.

This month we are saying hello to @roo_scottie who you will find bounding across sand dunes at the beach or lying in the sun relaxing. You can find @roo_scottie on Instagram to see what else he gets up too! We love Roo and we think you will too!

Q: ‘Where is your favourite place to go and play?’ 
I love to walk in the woods near my house! As soon as I'm let off my lead, I have the biggest zoomies and sprint off to sniff out my favourite spots, chase squirrels, then jump in the stream for paddles. It's great for cooling down when it's warm!  
 
Q: ‘Do you prefer the beach or the countryside and why?’ 
The beach is so fun! I get excited chasing the water lapping the shore. The sand dunes have the best spots for zooming around and I love rolling in the sand. 
 
Q: ‘What is your favourite thing about Barbour Dogs products?’ 
I always feel so stylish wearing my native tartan print and get lots of compliments for how handsome I look. 
 
Q: 'Which Barbour item is your favourite and why?' 
My tartan harness is great for everyday walks and is super comfy. When I'm wearing it, I know I'm off on an adventure! 
 
Q: ‘Talk us through your daily routine…’ 
At 8am I wake my parents up with plenty of licks as it's time for breakfast! A mixture of kibble and wet food, yumm! I love lying in the sunny spots around the house, having another snooze before my daily walk. Mum gets me into my Barbour harness and lead, I'm always excited when this happens, wagging my tail and jumping on the spot ready for our adventure! Sometimes we take the ball so I can chase it around the park and bring it back for a tasty treat. If I spot another dog, I zoom over for some sniffs and love to play. I'm always very friendly! After my dinner, Mum & Papa prepare their food and I wait beside them in anticipation for a cheeky snack. I love when they give me slices of carrot or pepper. I always get a bone filled with frozen banana to enjoy as they eat and we curl up together to watch a film before bedtime.
