Women’s Tartan: SS20 Campaign
SPRING SUMMER 2020

The Tartan collection has long been an essential part of Barbour thanks to our deep-seated Scottish roots. In celebration of the SS20 collection, we decided to take the Tartan collection back to it’s home to celebrate. With a beautiful, feminine tartan weaved in throughout this collection, the city of Glasgow and the House for an Art Lover made the perfect backdrop as we learnt more about Emily Hunt and Kate Spiers including what they love about Scotland and how they style Women’s Tartan.

The collection offers a variety of new pieces which can be used to build the perfect outfit for spring/summer. Featuring beautiful quilts, waterproof breathables, dresses and knitwear, each style is presented in subtle yet elegant colours that can be blended seamlessly with this season’s platinum tartan. Offering the wearer clean lines, flattering silhouettes and the classic Barbour look, this collection is informed by our rich heritage.

Kate Spiers wore our Aria dress, perfectly paired with the Inglis Jacket, to explore the House for an Art Lover, which sits just outside her hometown in Glasgow. Finishing the look, Kate wore our Edele boots, which kept her feet warm, while effortlessly stylish. Afterwards, we spent the afternoon in Mackintosh at the Willows for afternoon tea, where Kate showed off one of her favourite pieces, the soft pink Freya quilted jacket, with the Millie knit.

Next to her, style influencer and social media freelancer Emily Hunt wore the Mille dress with the Babbity jacket, which made for the perfect spring casual look. For tea and cake, Emily then wore the exquisite Lucie knit with Barbour jeans, matched with our classic black Abigail boots. Styling the collection perfectly for a day exploring in Glasgow, we’ll hear more about how to wear the Women’s Tartan this season, with Kate and Emily’s help.
