Barbour clothing is now more in demand than ever. Unfortunately, the strong reputation and popularity of the Barbour brand has also caught the attention of those looking to profit from criminal activity, and as a result, counterfeit Barbour merchandise is now making its way to the market. At Barbour we're dedicated to fighting this problem. We take anti-counterfeiting extremely serious and we're working with worldwide customs authorities and various law enforcement agencies to stop the shipment of counterfeit goods, preventing their sale and distribution.
We're also working hard to take down any websites, sponsored links and online auctions that we believe are selling counterfeit Barbour products. However, we are reliant on the support of third parties such as Internet Service Providers and Search Engines to take requested enforcement action promptly and act in a lawful manner to remove such sites from the Internet. Therefore we ask you, our valued customers, to be vigilant over such counterfeit sites and we hope that you can help us with our anti-counterfeiting strategy. You can check if a website is an authorised stockist using our search box. One way of telling if a website is genuine or not is if it uses 'Barbour' in its' website address. Barbour does not allow its authorised retailers to use the registered trade mark ‘Barbour’ in its’ website URL and so, apart from barbour.com, any website which contains ‘barbour’ in the address, is likely to be acting unlawfully and not selling genuine products. We would advise that you avoid all such sites. Examples of such counterfeit sites might be ‘barbouroutletsales.co.uk’ or ‘cheapbarbourjackets.com’. A counterfeit site could be any derivation of similar wording or even not contain ‘barbour’ in its domain name at all. If you think you may have a counterfeit Barbour product, or if you see any suspicious looking Barbour merchandise, please let us know by filling in the form below.
We will where appropriate take legal action to prevent counterfeiting of Barbour products and the misuse of our brand and designs.
Though we'd like to help victims of counterfeiting, we're not able to reimburse money used to purchase counterfeit products or assist with the resolution of disputes, including assistance with PayPal refunds. However, by locating counterfeiters and taking legal action against them, we're doing our part in eliminating future incidents of counterfeiting.
