Reducing Single Use Plastic
By the end of 2021, we aim to eliminate 158,000 single use transit hangers and 3 million plastic seals used on our swing ticket cords will be replaced with organic cotton ties.
Packaging
We have replaced our plastic carrier bags to ones made from paper which can be fully recycled. Re-usable cartons have reduced the amount of cardboard used by 85 tonnes per year. By re-designing our footwear boxes, we will reduce the use of cardboard in these boxes by 30% by the end of 2021.
ISO14001
Barbour attained ISO14001 accreditation in 2019. ISO14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework that an organisation can follow and through continuous improvement be able to progress our sustainability credentials.
