Our Barbour International Original Wax Jacket has been a distinctive feature of our history, first made available to our customers in 1947, soon after the war – it has gone on to become one of the most synonymous jackets in our collections.
In 1953, the International was chosen as the official ‘uniform’ for the Vincent Owners Club. Vincent was known as the ‘Maker of the World’s Fastest Standard Motorcycle’ and to mark this tie-up between the two businesses, the International was dyed black.
Today the original International jacket remains in manufacture, produced to a near identical specification and has been picked up by classic bike aficionados and celebrities alike.
