The Peak District plays host to some of Villager Jim’s favourite walks, it’s where he creates his daily online diaries on his Facebook page with many walks to choose from – the moors are quite possibly his favourite, where you can be truly inspired by the landscapes and wildlife all around.
One of his favourite coastal walks is over to Seahouses in Northumberland where you can stroll along the beach to the wonderful Bamburgh Castle, which in Jim’s own words is “Epic!”

Scenery plays a key part into the enjoyment of his walks, being able live in a part of UK with has oodles of amazing landscapes and stunning scenery, it really is the wildlife that fascinates him the most, all with their own unique story to tell.
As he tends to be up before dawn on his daily walks to capture the best possible moments in photography, it’s usually by himself– while his family and friends are still asleep. It is essential that he brings along these familiar items, of course his camera is first on his checklist!

“Barbour wellies have been by normal choice of footwear for years, waterproof, warm and the ability to take hard knocks – makes for the perfect combination! Outside of the wellies, I love the Barbour Penshaw Boots, there really comfy and so easy to get on, which for me bumbling down into a darkened kitchen in a morning is a bonus!”
