We caught up with Photographer, Villager Jim, to find out some of his favourite walking routes for you to discover this summer!

Date
April 25th 2017
We find out some of Villager Jim’s favourite places to walk this summer with his #BarbourDogs, including a mix of the countryside, all the way to the Northumberland coastline.

We asked Jim what is the essential wear for any long walk…

‘I’m a Wellington Boot man - you really do have to wear wellies to the place I go. With bogs and mud abounding, a lighter shoe could have your feet wet in seconds. One thing I have learnt is the wet and cold are horrid partners to have with you on your journey.’

Peak District

The Peak District is one of Villager Jim’s favourite walking destinations, great in all seasons, it really comes to life in the spring – with the moors offering wonderful landscapes and wildlife to been seen in every direction.

Seahouses

Walk along the coast, to the seaside town of Seahouses, offering tremendous views of the Northumberland coast line. With a variety of different bird species filling the sky, be sure to bring your camera to capture the best wildlife.

Bamburgh Castle

The area of Bamburgh is perfect for an invigorating walk along the beautiful beach, as well as providing history lovers the perfect location to visit.

Villager Jim explains that as Photographer, who is out and about the British countryside and coast most days, his #BarbourFootwear must be waterproof to battle all the elements the British weather has to throw at him, while making sure they are warm and durable enough to take the hard knocks when out on shoot.
