Can’t Ski….not to worry, Barbour have suggestions for other winter get aways!
There’s talk today of snow being on its way, anytime this week our surroundings may turn to white! – now here at Barbour we love the snow, when it means wrapping up in cashmere and putting a pair of our Setter wellingtons on…but when it comes to snow and skis we’re split down the middle.
Some of us love nothing more than hitting a black run first thing in the morning with the cold air hitting our cheeks, but for others that sounds like the most unrelaxing holiday…so with that in mind, we thought we’d share a couple of our favorite get away’s for those who don’t fancy sticking planks of wood to their feet this Christmas.
1. Fancy a Christmas shopping spree…. why not head to London and make a weekend of it, and have a unique sleep over on top of the South Bank in a luxury Living Architecture’s boat, perched on the edge of the Queen Elizabeth Hall. http://www.living-architecture.co.uk/the-houses/aroomforlondon/overview/
2. Want to be at one with the outdoors…Ballathie House in Scotland, is situated in the heart of Perthshire, and surrounded by some of the most prestigious sporting estates. Located on the banks of the beautiful River Tay, the Salmon fishing is a dream, the shooting delightful and their four course set dinner in the evenings is a treat from the delicious larder that is the local land. http://www.ballathiehousehotel.com
3. Spa weekend: Why not relax and treat yourself to a massage and pampering day at Cowarth Park. Located in Ascot their spa has amazing views of the surrounding English parkland. With a choice of amazing treatments, beautiful scenery, delicious afternoon tea and champagne. We all know how stressful Christmas and present wrapping can be…maybe save this one for the New Year! http://www.dorchestercollection.com/en/ascot/coworth-park
