Celebrating the importance and success of the British menswear industry, the Barbour London Collections Men event proudly presented the Autumn Winter 2016 Heritage collections to notable figures in fashion and the media.
Watch the video below for an inside look at the exclusive event.
Throughout the event, guests were served fish and chips, with a range of refreshments, whilst a selection of key looks from the AW16 Heritage Collections were modelled to guests.
The set took its cues from our coastal heritage, with a moving light recreating the flashing beacon of a lighthouse behind the models. Guests ranged from international fashion journalists, to well-known faces in fashion and the media.
Television personality Dermot O'Leary and fashion model David Gandy visited to get an exclusive preview of the collections.
Combining tradition with modernity from jackets through to shirts, knitwear, tees, trousers and footwear, the Barbour Heritage collections focus on slimmer silhouettes, clean lines and well cut shapes with plenty of attention to detail. It was all about layering woollen knits, tees, shirts, and sweatshirt combinations.
Night Watch Collection
Inspired from the iconic beacon that has stood watch at the mouth of the river Tyne since 1882, this collection features an innovative use of technical fabrics, pockets and zip detail with a black colour scheme throughout.
Paying homage to one of Barbour's exclusive tartans, the Ancient Tartan collection bares a strong association with creams, yellow and greens creating a wardrobe of clothes in a sophisticated colour pallette and practical silhouettes.
Barbour x White Mountaineering
This capsule collection is unmistakeably Barbour with a dash of White Mountaineering's signature style. The clever combination of Barbour's classic tartan lining and bold, bright overprinted colours creates a collection that is both contemporary and practical.
