Loren Lazic-Duffy, a third year photography student in London, shared with us her final project; a fashion editorial at the iconic motorcycle Ace Café in North London - the same setting for our Heritage Originals photoshoot. Her series features classic Barbour International pieces, such as the iconic International Jacket.
Loren tells us how the day panned out…
Our Barbour International themed photo shoot started at the sleepy hour of 8am. Alongside our table of models in hair and make-up and a rail of Barbour International outerwear, customers of the iconic motorcycle Ace Cafe happily tucked into their English breakfasts before work - one way to certainly brighten up a dreary morning. The assortment of eclectic music, classic motorcycle displays and games machines bumped our moods in order to get the shoot rolling. The weather, although changeable, was on our side. Result. Shooting both inside and out of the cafe, highlights included stopping motorcyclists in full gear on their way into the cafe to stand in on a few shots and low points included being caught out in a torrential rain shower (models were fine with their Barbour International jackets, the rest of us however weren't!). Nonetheless, it was all worth it for the moment the authentic 35mm film photographs were developed and in my hands. All in all, a great shoot with an amazing team.
