If your Barbour wax jacket should ever need to be seen by our professional customer services team, it could not be easier to ensure the jacket that has stood by you through thick and thin gets the attention it deserves. With regular maintenance, however, a Barbour waxed jacket should give you many years of service. Reproofing waxed jackets will increase the garment's lifespan and ensure it retains its weatherproof qualities. Inside the pocket of all new jackets you will find a Care and After Sales Booklet offering you expert advice on the care of your Barbour. The booklet also gives guidelines on how often we would advise reproofing your Barbour Thornproof jacket.

The photo shows a selection of items that have been found in the pockets of Barbour jackets sent to us for repairs over the years. Along with dog biscuits, used shot gun cartridges and old sheep’s tails which our customers are happy for us to discard on their behalf, sometimes we find things that the owner never intended to leave in their pocket. These have included a glass phial of monkey’s blood, £120 in cash, a wedding ring and the front door keys to a well known stately home. Items such as these are of course carefully returned to their rightful owner
