For our SS12 photo shoot we headed to Cornwall for some beautiful British countryside and warmer climes. To give you a taste of what’s here this season watch our video for footage on location at Port Eliot.
With its Grade 1 listed status the house and garden is home to the annual Port Eliot Festival; a literary festival with the feel of a garden party, blending an eclectic mix of music and an alternative flower show. If you haven’t yet experienced this…it’s a must!
Both the house and its 6,000 acres date back to the 12th century - all this history was the perfect setting to shoot our new SS12 range. Translating the look and feel of a collection is the most challenging part, and the very picturesque and extremely impressive estate of Port Eliot, with its authentic features, mural paintings and grand staircases (not to mention majestic views), helped create a fantastic backdrop for the collection.
The car on the shoot was a 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Shooting Brake – valued at over £300,000, a collectors item and one of only 12 ever made, perfect to support our lifestyle range. We also included a vintage 1960’s Triton Cafe racer borrowed from photographer Julian Broad who was taking the shots. Authentically styled with the new Black Streak collection, recreating the high octane thrill of a 60’s time trial. Every good shoot needs a good team and we certainly had that.
For menswear, stylist David Lamb was in action. David has worked with the likes of Thomas Pink, GQ and Hugo Boss and brought his established reputation for elegant, refined and accessible styling to life. And for womenswear stylist Gillian Wilkins was on hand with her breadth of experience with Vogue et al and her ability to see beyond what's in fashion to create natural and vintage looks. From a scenic location to top stylists and some vintage wheels thrown in the mix, this was without a doubt our best shoot yet - enjoy the SS12 collection!!
