9th February 2012 : Trend Pick: Ornithological Prints

There is a lot more to the Jackdaw shirt than meets the eye. The print was created by Edwyn Collins who is best known for his hit ‘A Girl Like You’. A former member of the band Orange Juice, Collins suffered from a double brain hemorrhage in 2005. As part of his rehabilitation, Collins created these individual illustrations. Having heard his story, Liberty immortalized his illustrations for SS12.

As featured on our Jackdaw shirt this season, the print lends itself perfectly to any country venture. For women, the shirt adds the perfect hint of detail, teamed with a pair of skinny trousers and vintage cape, you are set for the weekend.

However the men, fear not as the shirt not only looks great under a classic wax, however try it with chino’s and a classic blazer, and for those who are slightly more adventurous try a pair of shorts for when the summer kicks in!
